1. Device Identifiers and Identifiers
1.1 Advertising Identifiers
We collect advertising identifiers to serve personalized advertisements and measure ad performance:
- Google Advertising ID (GAID): Used for Android devices to track ad performance and deliver personalized ads
- IDFA (Identifier for Advertisers): Used for iOS devices for the same purposes
1.2 Application Identifiers
- Device ID: Unique device identifier for app functionality
- Installation ID: Anonymous identifier generated upon first app installation
- Firebase Instance ID: Used for push notifications and analytics
2. Runtime Permissions
Our App requests the following permissions on Android devices:
- INTERNET: Required to load advertisements, sync data, and provide app functionality
- ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: Used to check network availability and optimize ad delivery
- ACCESS_WIFI_STATE: Used to determine connection type for better ad delivery
- BILLING: Required for in-app purchases through Google Play Billing
Note: We do not request access to your photos, camera, location, contacts, microphone, or other sensitive permissions. All app features work without these permissions.
3. Data Categories and Purposes
3.1 Device Information
- Device model, manufacturer, and hardware specifications
- Operating system version and type

- Purpose: App optimization, bug fixes, and ad targeting
3.2 Usage Data
- App launch frequency and session duration
- Features used (Prayer Room, Divination, Wishes, Meditation)

- Purpose: Improve user experience, analyze app performance, and optimize features
3.3 Diagnostic Data
- Crash logs and error reports
- Performance metrics (app startup time, response time)
- Memory usage and battery consumption
- Purpose: Identify and fix bugs, improve app stability
3.4 Advertising Interaction Data
- Ad impressions and clicks

4. Data Processing Location and Association
4.1 Local Processing
- Most app features (Prayer, Divination, Wishes, Meditation) operate entirely on your device
- Your personal content (prayers, wishes, meditation logs) is stored locally and never transmitted to our servers
- We cannot access, view, or share your personal content
4.2 Data Transmission
- Anonymized analytics data is sent to Firebase Analytics (Google)
- Crash reports are sent to Firebase Crashlytics (Google)
- Ad-related identifiers are shared with advertising networks (as listed in Section 5)
- No personally identifiable information (PII) is transmitted
4.3 Cross-App Tracking
- Advertising IDs (GAID/IDFA) may be used for cross-app tracking by advertising networks
- This allows advertisers to show relevant ads across different apps
- You can opt-out through device settings (Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Reset advertising ID)
4.4 Personal Identity Association
We do not associate collected data with your personal identity (name, email, phone number). All data is processed anonymously or pseudonymously using device identifiers.

6. Consent and User Control
6.1 GDPR Compliance (European Economic Area)
- We use Google UMP SDK to display consent dialogs to users in EEA and UK
- Users can choose between personalized and non-personalized advertising
- Consent choices are stored locally and respected throughout the app
- Users can change their consent preferences at any time
6.2 iOS App Tracking Transparency (ATT)
- On iOS 14.5+, we request permission to track using the App Tracking Transparency framework
- Users can allow or deny tracking in system settings
- If denied, we serve non-personalized ads
6.3 Opt-Out Options
- Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Reset advertising ID or Opt out of Ads Personalization
- iOS: Settings → Privacy → Tracking → Allow Apps to Request to Track
- Analytics: Opt-out of Firebase Analytics by uninstalling the app
6.4 Withdrawing Consent
- Uninstall the app to stop all data collection
- Reset your advertising ID to break tracking associations
- Contact us via email to request data deletion (see Section 9)
7. Data Sharing, Retention, and Security
7.1 Data Sharing
We share data with:
- Advertising Networks: AdMob, Meta, Unity Ads, Pangle (advertising IDs, device info)
- Analytics Providers: Google Firebase (usage data, crash reports)
- Service Providers: Google Cloud (hosting Firebase services)
- Legal Requirements: If required by law or to protect our rights
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
7.2 Data Retention
- Local App Data: Retained until app is uninstalled or data is cleared
- Analytics Data: Retained for up to 14 months in Firebase Analytics
- Crash Reports: Retained for up to 90 days
- Ad Interaction Data: Retained according to advertising network policies (typically 13-25 months)
7.3 Data Security
- Encryption: Data transmitted over HTTPS/TLS encryption
- Sandboxing: App data is isolated in app sandbox, not accessible by other apps
- Minimal Permissions: We only request necessary permissions
- Secure Storage: Sensitive data (if any) stored using Android Keystore/Keychain
- Regular Updates: We regularly update dependencies to address security vulnerabilities

10. Core Privacy Statement
Frontend-First, Local Processing Default
Core Principle: Divine Oracle is designed as a frontend-first application. Most features operate entirely on your device without transmitting data to our servers.
What Stays Local:
- All prayer entries and history
- All divination results and readings
- All wishes and meditation logs
- User preferences and settings
What Gets Transmitted (Minimal):
- Anonymized analytics data (Firebase Analytics)
- Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics)
- Ad-related identifiers (advertising networks)
- No personally identifiable information is transmitted
Cloud Features:
If we introduce cloud features (backup, sync, sharing) in the future, we will:
- Clearly notify you before enabling such features
- Require your explicit consent
- Provide opt-out options
- Update this Privacy Policy accordingly
Current Status: As of this version, Divine Oracle does not offer cloud backup or sync features. All data remains on your device.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will:
- Notify you of significant changes via in-app notification or email
- Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy
- Provide a summary of changes for major updates
Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
12. Children's Privacy
Our App is not intended for children under 13 years of age (or 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us immediately, and we will delete it.
